Remote Chemical Engineer – Short‑Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to join our remote team on a short‑term, task‑based contract. You will work 40 hours per week with a required 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time, providing detailed solutions to advanced chemistry problems and supporting AI model fine‑tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Solve postgraduate‑level chemistry questions, including organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibria, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
• Create clear, visual explanations using text, diagrams, chemical equations, and annotated structures.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Contribute analytical reasoning to AI model fine‑tuning projects.
• Explain concepts in simple language, supplemented with visuals or simulations when needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• LinkedIn profile included in the resume; background check required after onboarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency with at least three of the following tools: GROMACS, LAMMPS, Psi4, PySCF, xtb, crest, Multiwfn, Cantera, CoolProp, NWChem, PyBaMM, RDKit, Open Babel.
