Remote Human Resources Manager – Performance & Culture

About the role

Valatam is seeking a Remote Human Resources Manager to lead a results‑driven HR function focused on reducing turnover, addressing Virtual Assistant (VA) concerns, and enhancing the overall VA experience. This internal leadership position combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to support company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to improve VA retention, monitor KPIs, and identify early warning signs of turnover.
• Analyze resignations, client‑requested replacements, and turnover causes to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Design and run satisfaction surveys, feedback mechanisms, and action plans for recurring concerns.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate the HR team through one‑on‑ones, performance reviews, and clear KPIs.
• Oversee VA performance issues, client feedback, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) with timely follow‑up.
• Prepare HR reports with actionable insights and align HR strategies with company goals.
• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, disciplinary procedures, and ensure compliance.
• Manage VA onboarding/offboarding, HR records, and compensation/benefits administration.
• Lead VA engagement, recognition, culture, and volunteering initiatives.
• Optimize HR processes, tools, and workflows, identifying opportunities for standardization and automation.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (C1/C2) with 3‑5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in staffing, BPO, or outsourcing is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to turn HR data into actionable retention initiatives.
• Proven track record of leading teams, setting KPIs, and delivering measurable results.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
