Renewable Energy & Power Systems Engineer

About the role

Arup is seeking a motivated Energy Consultant to join its growing Energy team in Bogotá, Colombia. You will work on a diverse portfolio of renewable energy and power system projects across Latin America, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle while collaborating with experts from Arup’s global Energy practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary energy projects covering Solar PV, Wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hydropower, Transmission and Substation infrastructure.
• Deliver technical advisory, owner’s engineering, lender’s technical advisory, technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and construction monitoring.
• Contribute to engineering studies, client engagement activities, and proposal development.
• Collaborate with developers, investors, lenders, utilities, EPC contractors and public‑sector organisations throughout Latin America.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in renewable energy and power systems.
• Ability to work across multiple technologies and adapt to varied project scopes.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and multidisciplinary teamwork.
