Renewables Engineer Project Manager

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Renewables Engineer Project Manager to join its global energy team in Bogotá. The role will lead the delivery of wind, solar PV and hybrid technical advisory and owners‑engineer projects for clients worldwide, with a focus on the South American market. You will ensure projects are properly resourced, delivered on time and within budget while supporting clients to increase project value and reduce risk.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and manage due‑diligence projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to gather and analyse data for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct technical assessments of wind, solar PV, CSP and BESS projects.
• Evaluate project feasibility and support decision‑making.
• Oversee budget and schedule compliance, client liaison and internal reporting.
• Prepare bids for new work and participate in additional advisory and owners‑engineer projects as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering renewable energy projects, including wind, solar PV, CSP and battery storage.
• Strong ability to manage budgets, timelines and multidisciplinary resources.
• Excellent client communication and reporting skills.
