About the role
The Journal & Topics Media Group, a publisher of 13 community newspapers in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs, is expanding its newsroom and creative teams. We are seeking enthusiastic reporters, graphic designers, and sales professionals to join our full‑time and part‑time staff.
Key responsibilities
- Reporters: research, write, and edit news stories for print and digital platforms.
- Graphic Designers: create visual layouts, illustrations, and multimedia assets for newspaper pages and online content.
- Sales staff: develop advertising relationships, pitch media solutions, and manage client accounts.
Required profile
- Strong interest in local news, community storytelling, or visual communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced newsroom environment.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
