Salesforce Developer

About the role

Slalom, a global business and technology consulting firm, is hiring a Salesforce Developer in Colombia. The role suits someone experienced in solving complex problems on the Salesforce platform, with knowledge of its technical domains such as cloud platforms, programmatic development, declarative solutioning and integrations. The position is open to both team members and individual contributors.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that leverage the Salesforce platform and products
• Take part in technical design sessions and prepare technical solution documentation aligned with business objectives
• Develop, test and document custom development, integrations and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
• Build custom solutions and interfaces on top of the Salesforce platform
• Execute test plans, follow coding standards and take part in code reviews
• Provide estimates and work breakdown structures for assigned tasks
• Learn new product and technical capabilities from Salesforce during new releases and acquisitions

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform
• Proven ability to develop and optimize integrated business processes across disparate systems
• Understanding of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and common AppExchange solutions
• Ability to perform automated testing and write unit tests
• Knowledge of the E2E development lifecycle and experience collaborating with multiple engineers
• Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP/Metadata) and integrations, including third-party tools and ETL with Salesforce
• Object-oriented analysis and design, database design and SDLC knowledge
• Agile methodology experience
• Exposure to Einstein and Salesforce AI, and to CI/CD processes
• Active Salesforce certifications or ability to obtain them after hire
• Excellent client-facing written, presentation and verbal communication skills

Candidates for engineering positions in Colombia must hold a valid professional license issued by COPNIA and provide proof of it. The company works in a hybrid environment, with at least one day per week in the office (two days for those with direct reports or not on a client engagement).
