Salesforce Developer Specialist - Commercial Banking CRM

About the role

Commercial Banking CRM Engineering at ScotiaTech is responsible for implementing and enhancing Commercial Banking client programs built on the Salesforce platform. The selected candidate will help design, develop and support Salesforce solutions for onboarding a new business line into the existing Commercial Salesforce ecosystem. The position is based in Bogota, Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions across Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Build and maintain Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, integrations and custom applications.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Owners and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs and middleware platforms.
• Take part in solution design discussions, code reviews and technical planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while keeping platform stability and performance.
• Follow secure coding practices, DevOps standards and governance requirements, and continuously improve the platform with new Salesforce features and best practices.

Required profile

• Significant experience working within a Big 4 bank or equivalent financial institution.
• 3-5 years of Salesforce development experience with enterprise-scale implementations.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with Agile delivery and Jira-based project management.
• B2 English level.
• Nice to have: Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional, and AI Associate.

• Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Flows and Platform Events.
• REST/SOAP API integrations and middleware platforms.
• Understanding of Salesforce security model, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules and role hierarchy.
• CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated deployments and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
