Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist – Import

About the role

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. By transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods, you are making small and big moments possible for people around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Support the import operations for the Canada region, ensuring timely and accurate execution of assigned activities.
• Manage and review import and shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with established processes.
• Coordinate and follow up on import shipments throughout the operational process.
• Apply knowledge of foreign trade, import processes, and international logistics to daily activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operational execution.
• Identify, follow up on, and escalate operational issues or exceptions when required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment information and documentation.
• Ensure a high level of service and operational quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Solid foundational knowledge of import processes, documentation, and foreign trade operations.
• Junior profile with strong potential and willingness to learn; previous freight forwarding experience not required.
• English level A2–B1.
• General knowledge of U.S. foreign trade processes is valued.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and work effectively in an international environment.
• Motivation to develop a career within Sea Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
