Senior Account Executive - PR

About the role

Sherlock Communications, an award-winning PR and communications agency with professionals from across Latin America and the Caribbean, is looking for a PR professional based in Colombia. The role suits a creative and proactive person with agency experience who can identify key opportunities for clients, nurture lasting media relationships and support clients in challenging situations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics and timelines for client projects
• Write and edit press releases, media pitches, media briefings, fact sheets and spokesperson bios to a client-ready standard
• Correct press releases and translations
• Run media relations: media monitoring, building and maintaining media lists, developing pitch angles and contacting journalists
• Work with Digital Marketing teams on client projects
• Monitor traditional media on behalf of clients and track and analyze topics and themes
• Mentor junior team members
• Organize and follow up client status meetings held in English

Required profile

• 3-5 years of PR experience supporting strategic communication for international clients, with prior agency experience for tech, finance, health or cybersecurity clients
• Proven success securing media coverage and managing media relations
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish; interviews in both languages

• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Slides and Sheets
• Strong organization, time management and interpersonal skills
