Senior Accountant and Operations Lead - Quality of Earnings

About the role

Emapta Colombia is recruiting a Senior Accountant and Operations Lead to support a US firm specializing in independent quality of earnings assessments for business acquisitions. The role combines quality of earnings analysis with operational coordination of a small team, working remotely from home on a day-shift basis with weekends off.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, bank statements and tax returns for US small-business acquisitions and loan transactions, perform cash-flow proofs, identify earnings adjustments, prepare EBITDA bridges and quality of earnings reports.
• Organize engagement files, resolve documentation gaps and submit analyses to the firm's US CPA for final review.
• Conduct financial statement spreading and credit analysis, and coordinate additional accounting and tax preparation as new services grow.
• Serve as the founder's main point of contact for team coordination, monitor workloads and deadlines, and escalate issues with recommendations.
• Coordinate sales development representative activities and prospect handoffs, and set up onboarding procedures, checklists and quality control processes.
• Use and improve the Bankable platform, test software features, coordinate access to Microsoft 365 and apply AI tools to support analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license with more than 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality of earnings analysis, financial due diligence or transaction services.
• Project coordination, workflow management or small-team supervision experience.
• Strong written and verbal English; ability to work independently and adapt to an early-stage business environment.
• Preferred: banking credit analysis or US tax preparation experience.

Required skills

• Financial analysis, account reconciliation, financial reporting and Microsoft Excel.
• Quality of earnings (QoE) analysis and EBITDA bridging.
