Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to support its fast‑growing portfolio of hospitality clients. The role is client‑facing and focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, timely month‑end closes, and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing P&L and Balance Sheet statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliations and manage increasing volume as new properties are onboarded.
• Handle journal entries, financial reporting, and account reconciliations across multiple client accounts.
• Integrate and operate hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data.
• Identify workflow improvements, strengthen internal controls, and provide clear communication to client stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle accounting, and financial reporting.
• Self‑starter with high accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with hospitality systems such as Opera, Sertifi, or Toast.
• Familiarity with accounting platforms like Acumatica, Ottimate, or ProfitSword.
