Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor and leads the daily operations of the accounting department. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining compliance with IFRS‑GAAP. The incumbent works in a fast‑paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and providing guidance to junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS‑GAAP and monitor changes in accounting regulations.
• Develop and update accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, tax and audit teams to ensure data accuracy and support strategic goals.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff and delegate tasks as needed.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS‑GAAP and other accounting standards.
• Proven experience managing accounting operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (B2+ level).
