Senior Accountant – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead comprehensive accounting operations for multiple small-business clients in a fast-growing, technology-driven marketplace. The role is fully remote and focuses on hands-on bookkeeping, month-end and year-end close, and delivering clear financial insights to entrepreneurs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books for multiple clients, including daily reconciliations and month-end close procedures.
• Manage full AP/AR cycles and ensure timely, organized financial record keeping.
• Prepare, review and present monthly financial statements ready for client consumption.
• Execute month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting discrepancies, ensuring data integrity across all accounts.
• Handle multi-entity accounting cases, propose adjustments and leverage AI-driven automation to improve efficiency.
• Adapt quickly to new technology platforms, integrations and AI-powered accounting solutions.
• Support process-improvement initiatives and collaborate with Tax and Customer Experience teams for seamless client service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of US GAAP accounting experience, including IFRS reporting and multi-entity structures.
• Tech-savvy with a strong aptitude for learning new software, AI tools and automation platforms.
• Client-facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and willingness to master emerging fintech solutions.
• Detail-oriented, accountable and deadline-driven.
