Senior Accountant (Remote)

About the role

We are a growth financing marketplace helping small businesses access capital. We seek an experienced Senior Accountant to manage comprehensive accounting operations for multiple client entities, delivering accurate financial reporting and high‑quality client service in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books for multiple clients, including daily reconciliations and month‑end close procedures.
• Manage full AP/AR cycles and ensure organized financial record‑keeping.
• Prepare, review and present monthly financial statements ready for client consumption.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Review reconciliations and statements, identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Analyze multi‑entity accounting cases, propose adjustments and leverage AI tools to optimise workflows.
• Adopt new technology platforms, integrations and AI‑powered accounting solutions.
• Support process‑improvement and system‑optimization initiatives.
• Provide clear financial insights and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
• Collaborate with Tax and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless data flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with U.S. GAAP and IFRS, including multi‑entity and complex business structures.
• Client‑facing experience with strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, accountable and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in an AI‑driven, technology‑first environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with modern accounting tech stacks, APIs and integrations.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and AI‑powered automation platforms.
