Senior Accountant (Remote, Mexico & Colombia)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our operational accounting function and lead the month‑end close process. Reporting to a fractional CFO, you will work remotely across Mexico and Colombia, ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth accounting operations in a fast‑paced, lean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full month‑end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Oversee Accounts Payable: invoice processing, approvals, corporate card transactions and employee expense reimbursements.
• Support billing operations, payment applications and resolve customer payment issues.
• Lead the transition of accounting duties from external providers to an internal team.
• Develop, maintain and improve SOPs and process documentation for all key accounting workflows.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual work and strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Collections and Operations to improve cross‑functional workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably as a Senior Accountant.
• Strong experience owning or heavily participating in month‑end close.
• Hands‑on experience managing Accounts Payable.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
