Senior Analyst, Revenue Controls

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Analyst for Revenue Controls to ensure operational controls and compliance across revenue accounting processes. The role involves quality checks, self‑assessments, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Funds Accounting space.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor accounting for agreements to ensure compliance with Mastercard policies and related accounting literature.
• Adhere to monthly and year‑end close schedules and produce monthly reporting.
• Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and ad‑hoc analysis to provide insight into revenue accounting activity.
• Maintain documentation and procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Represent GBSC on cross‑functional project teams, addressing expense accounting impacts and recommending solutions.
• Provide revenue customer service support and drive front‑line interaction with GBSC and internal business units to resolve processing issues.
• Participate in SOX testing and respond to internal and external audit requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Prior experience in revenue accounting, preferably within a shared‑services or internal service delivery environment.
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and related procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent time‑management skills.
