Senior Analytics Engineer - Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join Kraken’s Finance Data Engineering & Analytics team. You will build trusted financial data products, leveraging automation and AI to streamline the close process and reduce manual effort.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Data Engineers, and Platform Accounting to improve reporting and decision‑making.
• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows for data preparation, reconciliations, reporting and monitoring.
• Create intuitive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks across Finance, Product and Engineering.
• Develop scalable pipelines to collect, transform and curate data from internal and external sources.
• Support the design and rollout of a trusted finance data lake with clear definitions and quality checks.
• Evaluate new technologies, including AI‑assisted automation, and prototype production‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics and management within financial services or a regulated industry.
• Hands‑on experience with finance or accounting data such as reconciliations, sub‑ledgers, cost basis or month‑end close.
• Proven ability to own pipelines end‑to‑end and improve reliability as requirements evolve.
• Strong judgment and autonomy to lead complex work and remain accountable for production outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across engineering and finance teams.
