Senior Associate, Supply Chain – Transportation (Bogotá)

About the role
Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate to support transportation operations within its supply chain network in Bogotá. The role focuses on creating and maintaining transportation lanes, ensuring compliance with temperature‑controlled requirements, and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver medicines safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Support creation, revision, assessment, approval, and maintenance of transportation lanes and routes.
- Coordinate transportation requirements with shipping sites, receiving locations, Transportation Service Providers (TSPs), Quality, and other business partners.
- Evaluate origin, destination, mode, transit duration, temperature needs, routing, and shipping solutions.
- Assist in selecting and implementing Controlled Temperature Shipping Systems and risk mitigations.
- Support site capability assessments, new product introductions, market expansions, and route changes.
- Review transportation documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Investigate transportation events such as temperature excursions, delays, and deviations, and create related distribution complaints.
- Collaborate with TSPs and internal stakeholders to obtain shipment information and resolve issues.
- Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and audit readiness for transportation processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
- Minimum 6 months experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing within a regulated healthcare environment.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong analytical ability to identify risks and make recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and geographic locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
- Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience with temperature‑controlled or cold‑chain transportation and working with logistics providers or freight forwarders.
