Senior Cloud Network Engineer

About the role

Lead the design, build and operation of cloud‑native network infrastructure that powers Kinective’s banking platform and connects to enterprise clients. This product‑facing role focuses on AWS as the primary cloud, with supporting Azure environments, and requires end‑to‑end ownership of networking as code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways and routing across multi‑cloud environments, enforcing strict segmentation and security postures.
• Provision, maintain and troubleshoot IPsec and SSL/TLS VPN tunnels for client connectivity, acting as the primary technical contact during onboarding and incidents.
• Support SOC 2 Type II and PCI DSS audit cycles by collecting network evidence, remediating findings and maintaining compliance documentation.
• Author reusable OpenTofu/Terraform modules for all network components and deliver changes via peer‑reviewed pull requests.
• Build monitoring, alerting and runbooks for network health and participate in on‑call rotation for network incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on cloud network engineering, primarily on AWS with exposure to Azure.
• Proven experience designing and operating IPsec/IKEv2 and SSL VPN tunnels for enterprise clients.
• Experience with SOC 2 and/or PCI DSS audit processes, especially network controls.

Required skills

• AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Security Groups, NACLs, Network Firewall).
• Azure networking (VNet, Azure Firewall, NSGs).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Automation with Python, Bash/PowerShell and Docker.
• Network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, mtr, iperf, dig) and CLI tools (AWS CLI, Azure CLI).
