Senior Data Analyst - Latin America

About the role

Cuesta Partners, a technology strategy consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst with an interest in consulting to join its data practice. The analyst works with a broad range of clients on various engagements, building data environments quickly with modern technologies and best practices. The role is remote, with occasional but infrequent travel to the United States for some critical sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Ingest data for strategic business domains and deliver end-to-end data solutions that turn data into actionable insights.
• Build and optimize scalable, secure data pipelines that serve multiple business units, following standards, specifications, controls, audits and procedures.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness and timeliness.
• Diagnose system or performance issues and support the business during critical downtimes and releases; escalate problems appropriately.
• Collect and organize information from various sources, clean and transform data, and apply statistical analysis to find trends and patterns.
• Develop models and visualizations, run exploratory data analysis, and create reports and dashboards for customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and give data-driven recommendations.
• Mentor junior developers and establish relationships across the organization.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Business Analyst, bridging technical analysis and business strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or a comparable discipline.
• Prior experience in data analysis or a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to explain complex data insights simply to non-technical audiences and to write technical documents such as queries, reports and presentations.
