Senior Data QA Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev, a technology project company with more than 15 years of experience and a remote-first team of 4,000+ engineers, is hiring a Senior Data QA Engineer. The role validates data quality across ingestion, transformation and search pipelines, testing APIs and stored procedures so that data flowing from unstructured sources into structured systems stays accurate and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Validate SQL data quality across ingestion, transformation and search pipelines.
• Test ETL processes and verify data integrity from unstructured to structured formats.
• Test APIs using REST and tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Validate data ingestion from multi-source inputs, including email and calendar scraping.
• Test stored procedures and queries that affect search behavior.
• Carry out exploratory and functional QA across end-to-end workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Nice to have: experience with Azure Cloud, performance testing tools, search systems (filtering and ranking), Postman/Swagger automation, and validation of AI/LLM outputs.

Required skills

• Strong SQL data quality and validation.
• ETL and data validation testing, including unstructured to structured flows.
• API testing with REST, Postman or Swagger.
• Data ingestion validation from multiple sources.
• Testing of stored procedures and queries affecting search behavior.
