Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, remote Senior DevOps Engineer with at least five years of cloud and DevOps experience to join the core team of our U.S. client. You will work on both the client’s and their customers’ software products, bridging development and operations by designing, building, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Develop and implement automated CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or ArgoCD.
• Partner with engineering and data teams to operationalize AI/ML models and services in production.
• Establish best practices for infrastructure as code, observability, reliability and security.
• Build frameworks and tooling to increase feature‑release velocity while ensuring system stability and compliance.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tooling (e.g., code generation, testing automation, AIOps) into DevOps processes.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency across distributed systems.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement of system resilience.
• Advise on DevOps maturity, cloud architecture and AI‑enabled engineering practices.

Required profile

• Excellent English communication and teamwork skills.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) and cloud‑native architectures.
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, LLM APIs).
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash).
• Solid understanding of monitoring, logging and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience with security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments (IAM, secrets management, compliance).
• Ability to design systems that balance delivery speed with reliability and governance.
• Self‑motivated, able to own problems from start to finish and deliver in a fast‑moving environment.
