Senior Finance Business Partner Analyst

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Finance Business Partner team within the Technology (TECH) Business Unit. The role focuses on the software capitalization lifecycle, supporting internally developed software initiatives and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate software development projects and capitalization requests against Mastercard policy and ASC 350-40 guidance.
• Own end‑to‑end processes for software capitalization governance, statement‑of‑work (SOW) capitalization, forecasting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Technology, Product, Program Management, Finance, and Controllership teams to drive informed capitalization decisions.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts related to software capitalization.
• Provide financial analysis, reporting, and insights to senior leadership, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Identify and implement process improvements for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting systems.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience in finance within a technology environment, preferably with software capitalization.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of ASC 350‑40 and corporate accounting policies.
