Senior Financial Accountant / Fractional Controller

About the role

DOXA is recruiting a Senior U.S. Financial Accountant / Fractional Controller for Osher CPA, a growing boutique CPA and financial advisory firm based in Florida. The role suits an experienced accountant with strong expertise in U.S. financial accounting, reporting and analysis, working remotely from Colombia with Colombian and international teams. The contract is non-fixed full-time, paid 10,000,000 COP.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage monthly and year-end accounting closes for several U.S. business clients
• Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements under U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting, and oversee bookkeeping accuracy
• Support recurring fractional controller and CFO engagements
• Prepare monthly management reports with KPIs, variance commentary and financial insights
• Analyze revenue, margins, operating expenses, profitability and cash flow, and run budget-to-actual analyses
• Help with annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and financial models, and support working capital analysis and special advisory projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting; a degree in Finance is a plus
• At least 5 years of experience in U.S. financial accounting, reporting and analysis for U.S. businesses
• Experience with U.S. CPA firms, outsourced accounting or fractional CFO/controller work is preferred
• Advanced English (B2+ - C1); Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Colombian time
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, organization and ability to handle multiple client deadlines

• QuickBooks Online (ProAdvisor certification a plus)
• U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• NetSuite and AppFolio experience are a plus
