Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A

About the role

ScotiaGBS is seeking a senior FP&A analyst to provide accurate, data‑driven insight for budgeting, forecasting and cost tracking across its business units. The analyst will act as a financial partner, building models, analysing performance and supporting strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with a designated business unit to consolidate and analyse budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost data.
• Track operational performance metrics and produce regular reports.
• Collaborate with VPs, Directors and senior managers on ad‑hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives.
• Conduct benchmarking, process analysis and develop forecast models.
• Prepare executive‑level financial presentations and support business studies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years proven experience as a financial analyst.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify trends and recommend actions.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• BS degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with data mining and Access.
• Hands‑on statistical analysis using statistical packages.
• Ability to build and maintain financial forecasting models.
