Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

This is a high‑ownership, senior individual‑contributor role built for a finance professional who is equally comfortable closing the books and sitting at the leadership table. As the company’s financial backbone, you will own the full spectrum of financial operations, from day‑to‑day accounting precision to strategic reporting that informs executive decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute daily financial operations, including transaction processing, payroll updates, billing adjustments and month‑end close.
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, manage full‑cycle accounts payable/receivable, and perform reconciliations across banks, credit cards and general ledger.
• Lead monthly and quarterly closing procedures, prepare balance sheets and P&L statements, and support financial audits.
• Build executive‑level financial dashboards, deliver revenue and profitability analysis, and develop forecasting and budgeting models.
• Serve as the financial communication bridge between operations, leadership and clients, preparing clear narratives for non‑finance audiences.

Required profile

• Must reside in Medellín, Colombia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent is a strong plus.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including controller or senior finance roles.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish (minimum B2).
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote, international setup.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis).
• Full‑cycle accounting expertise with QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, billing processes and tax principles.
• Experience managing multi‑currency and international transactions.
