Senior Frontend Engineer – Medical Imaging Viewer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and evolve a web‑based medical imaging viewer that enables researchers and scientists to turn imaging data into actionable insights. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to solve complex UI and API‑adjacent challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core functionality for a web‑based medical imaging viewer.
• Build user interfaces using TypeScript and ReactJS, and contribute to an Angular‑based frontend when needed.
• Maintain existing features, improve performance, and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to analyze problems and deliver solutions.
• Coordinate with product and design to deliver intuitive, responsive UI aligned with a design system.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as refinement, planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong TypeScript and ReactJS expertise.
• Proven experience with DICOM medical viewers, including OHIF/DICOM.
• Solid knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, and component design.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2) and excellent communication skills.
