Senior Fullstack Engineer (LATAM)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer based in LATAM to architect, build and maintain scalable full-stack solutions that support critical business operations. The role combines software engineering, modern data platforms, workflow automation and cloud technologies to create operational applications that connect business users, data insights and automated execution. The position is 100% remote, with a US CST time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end full-stack applications.
• Build scalable backend APIs and microservices.
• Develop modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Create operational self-service applications for business users.
• Design workflow automation and cross-platform system integrations.
• Transform traditional reporting and analytics solutions into automated operational workflows.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members and contribute to coding standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience with Java or Python.
• 5+ years of backend API development experience.
• 4+ years building frontend applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience leading code reviews and contributing to architectural decisions.

Required skills

• Backend: REST APIs, GraphQL, RPC, JSON; databases MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Frontend: React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Nice to have: billing or payment platforms, Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, Apollo Client, Jest, React Testing Library, Webpack or Vite, WCAG accessibility, large-scale distributed systems, strong debugging skills.
