Senior Fullstack Ruby on Rails Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Ruby on Rails Developer to join a high‑growth client team through Proxify. You will own the full product lifecycle, delivering clean Ruby code for backend services while creating a responsive, modern frontend experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect and implement test‑driven features across backend and frontend layers.
• Write and optimise complex ActiveRecord queries, manage migrations and ensure database performance.
• Develop and maintain background processing with Sidekiq and Redis, handling race conditions and heavy data loads.
• Build interactive UI using Hotwire (Turbo/Stimulus) or a SPA framework (React.js or Vue.js) via a Rails API.
• Write comprehensive test suites with RSpec, Capybara and FactoryBot to maintain high coverage.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production experience with Ruby on Rails (Rails 6/7) and Ruby 3.x.
• Strong frontend expertise with Hotwire or modern SPA frameworks (React.js or Vue.js).
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimisation and migrations.
• Extensive experience with Sidekiq, Redis, and test‑driven development.
• Proficiency in Git workflows, Docker containerisation and asset pipelines (Propshaft, Webpacker or Vite Ruby).
