Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate large‑scale infrastructure across on‑prem data centers and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. The role blends hands‑on operations experience with deep automation expertise, guiding technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate multi‑data‑center infrastructure spanning on‑prem hardware, GCP, and AWS.
• Lead automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible.
• Design, maintain, and scale traffic management, load balancing, and DNS systems.
• Build and operate monitoring and observability solutions for both on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Develop tooling for distributed, auditable systems administration and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of infrastructure or systems engineering experience with production ownership.
• Hands‑on experience managing physical hardware in hosting facilities.
• Deep Linux administration (Red Hat or Debian) at scale.
• Core networking expertise including Cisco hardware, DNS, and load balancing.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
