Senior Integration Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design, implement, and operate end‑to‑end integrations on AWS‑based platforms. The role blends cloud architecture, applied security, and governance for LLMs, RAG, and execution flows while maintaining low latency, scalability, and a great user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop microservices and APIs following best practices such as pagination, error handling, and HATEOAS.
• Implement event producers and consumers with idempotency, exactly‑once delivery where applicable, and schema registry support.
• Build adapters and connectors for legacy systems (SFTP, SOAP) encapsulated behind APIs and events.
• Maintain versioned OpenAPI/AsyncAPI contracts, live documentation, and usage examples.
• Manage schema evolution, ensuring backward/forward compatibility and migration plans.
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and mTLS.
• Handle secrets with AWS Secrets Manager or Vault and ensure encryption in transit and at rest.
• Apply abuse protections such as rate‑limiting, quotas, and WAF.
• Produce structured logs and distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, correlating request‑id/trace‑id across APIs and events.
• Configure metrics with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch, and build dashboards and alerts based on SLOs per endpoint and topic.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, and reactive programming.
• Familiarity with cloud services on AWS, especially SNS/SQS, Event Hub, and Secrets Manager.
• Ability to work with multiple data formats (JSON, Avro, Protobuf, Parquet) and schema registries.
• Understanding of security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS) and encryption mechanisms.
• Experience in building and maintaining API contracts (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI) and event‑driven architectures.
