Senior Java/Node Software Engineer – Web Scraper Team

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java/Node Software Engineer to join our Web Scraper Team. You will design and maintain high‑performance applications that extract hotel rate and pricing data from a wide range of websites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java and Node.js based web‑scraping applications.
• Build scalable, reliable solutions for large‑scale data collection.
• Provide production support, monitor applications, and troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Analyze complex website structures and implement optimal scraping strategies for dynamic and static pages.
• Handle end‑to‑end data parsing, transformation, validation, and quality monitoring.
• Optimize performance, implement failure‑recovery mechanisms, and ensure high system availability.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to meet cross‑functional data requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with production‑grade Java development.
• Professional backend development experience with Node.js.
• Proven experience in large‑scale web scraping or data extraction projects.
• Experience providing production support, application monitoring, and real‑time troubleshooting.
