Senior Logistics Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Logistics Specialist you will own the end‑to‑end movement of goods across our North American supply chain, from supplier to customer. You will set the standard for logistics operations, make fast, data‑driven decisions, and influence stakeholders at every level.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full logistics process across the US, ensuring orders meet quality, speed, fill‑rate, communication, and cost targets.
• Lead value‑engineering initiatives on transport to improve profitability and delivery performance at scale.
• Negotiate with nurseries and transport partners at a senior level, securing advantageous terms and strengthening strategic relationships.
• Manage a high volume of active orders simultaneously, anticipating problems and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
• Communicate proactively with senior management, surfacing risks, escalating issues with full context, and driving resolution.
• Resolve post‑order issues by diagnosing root causes, implementing corrective actions, and closing the loop.
• Mentor and develop junior logistics specialists, raising team standards and acting as an operational lead when needed.
• Drive process improvement across the logistics function by identifying efficiency gaps and proposing data‑informed solutions.
• Support senior leadership with strategic logistics initiatives and ad‑hoc priorities.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management with a track record of owning outcomes.
• Hands‑on experience booking, managing, and negotiating with trucking and freight carriers.
• Exposure to CRM or TMS platforms and ability to adopt new operational tools.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can make decisions with incomplete information.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Demonstrated informal leadership through mentoring and setting standards.
