Senior Manager, Country Finance Manager MedTech US & Abiomed Global

About the role

The Senior Manager, Country Finance Manager for MedTech US and Abiomed Global will lead the controllership agenda from Bogotá, ensuring accurate financial reporting and end‑to‑end close execution for a complex regional and global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Own controllership of actuals, delivering timely, decision‑ready reporting under US GAAP and company policies.
• Lead end‑to‑end close governance, including pre‑close readiness, trial balance review, cash‑flow analysis, risk assessment and final sign‑off.
• Translate financial results into actionable insights for Finance Directors, CFOs and business leaders.
• Partner with senior finance stakeholders across A2R, GSF, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Compliance to resolve issues and strengthen handoffs.
• Maintain a strong control environment, ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness.
• Drive simplification, standardisation, automation and digital enablement across the portfolio.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering inclusion and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred.
• CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience with deep controllership and reporting expertise.
• At least 5 years of people‑leadership experience building high‑performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; practical exposure to IFRS or local GAAP.
