Senior Marketing Manager - English and Exams

About the role

The British Council is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to support the Director of Marketing / Head of Marketing in developing and implementing the country marketing strategy and plans for English and Exams (E&E). The role works in partnership with the E&E Business so that marketing programmes help achieve required business targets, and aligns with the global marketing strategy and brand. The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies, annual plans and integrated 360° campaigns for E&E in the country, using market insights and customer intelligence
• Ensure delivery against lead generation, customer engagement and retention objectives while complying with brand standards, policies and budget requirements
• Support product development with market-driven insights, monitor and report marketing performance, and promote collaboration with the central Insights team
• Contribute to the development and localisation of customer value propositions and product portfolios
• Adapt messaging and creative assets across channels, implement partnership and channel marketing initiatives, and use stakeholder feedback, social listening and analytics to optimise performance
• Manage marketing budgets and reporting, maintain stakeholder relationships and comply with corporate governance, including the responsible and ethical use of AI tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Considerable experience developing marketing strategies and plans in a large, complex organisation
• Experience in growth marketing and full-funnel planning, driving acquisition, conversion and retention
• Experience designing and delivering plans to support programmes or products
• Experience negotiating budgets and resources with senior stakeholders
• Desirable: experience in a global organisation and in the English teaching market
• Written and verbal English proficiency, as British Council systems operate in English

• Indefinite contract, pay band 7, salary of 10,000,000.00
• Hybrid working model, subject to line management approval
• Candidates from other British Council country offices are welcome if they have the right to work in Bogotá and are willing to relocate; relocation costs are the candidate's responsibility
