Senior Network Engineer (Firewall & VPN)

About the role
Auxis is expanding its IT Outsourcing (ITO) team in Bogotá and is looking for a Senior Engineer - Network and Firewall (Assistant Manager) to design, secure and scale enterprise network security controls. This is a hands-on engineering and leadership role involving complex network transformations, firewall and VPN policy architecture, and mentoring engineering talent.
Required profile
- 5+ years in network or network security engineering, with at least 3 years managing enterprise firewalls
- B2+ English proficiency (mandatory for client collaboration)
- Preferred certifications: PCNSE, NSE 5+, CCNP Security or equivalent vendor credentials
Required skills
- Hands-on experience with major firewall platforms, central management consoles, routing protocols, DNS, TLS and IPsec/SSL VPN services
- Ability to use platform APIs or scripting to automate rule reviews and configuration backups
The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, on a hybrid arrangement.
