Senior Oil and Gas Consultant Downstream

About the role

CRISIL Limited is seeking experienced professionals to join its Bogotá consulting team as Senior Oil and Gas Consultants focused on the downstream segment. The role involves leading and managing consulting projects that address energy transition, decarbonisation, investment analysis, pricing, and market studies for oil and gas clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and/or project‑manage consulting assignments covering downstream oil studies, energy transition, decarbonisation, transaction support, and price forecasting.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior team members throughout project lifecycles.
• Drive local business development, secure new consulting engagements and grow revenue.
• Build and maintain relationships with client companies to generate recurring consulting work.
• Collaborate with global SPGCI research groups to integrate industry‑leading insights into client solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 25 years (or 10 years for the second level) of downstream oil industry experience, preferably in refinery process engineering, operations, planning, economics or project roles.
• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in engineering and/or business preferred.
• Proven track record of business development and delivery of large, complex projects to internal or external stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with executive‑level clients.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects in a highly organized manner.
