About the role

PayJoy, a Public Benefit Corporation focused on inclusive credit solutions, is looking for a Senior Public Relations Manager to lead its global PR and communications strategy. You will shape the narrative around PayJoy’s mission, innovation, and social impact, ensuring consistent messaging across all markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a cohesive global PR strategy that amplifies PayJoy’s mission and business momentum.
• Build and maintain relationships with top‑tier business, technology, fintech, and social‑impact journalists worldwide.
• Partner with the executive team to create compelling storylines, op‑eds, and speaking opportunities.
• Anticipate and manage crisis situations, delivering timely and aligned communications.
• Write press releases, Q&As, briefing documents, and backgrounders that clearly articulate PayJoy’s narrative.
• Support media visibility and executive participation at major fintech, technology, and social‑impact events.
• Manage regional PR agencies to ensure strategic alignment and quality.
• Track, analyze, and report PR performance metrics to continuously improve effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or current studies in Social Marketing or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or corporate affairs, preferably in fintech, financial services, or technology.
• Proven track record of generating positive media coverage in global and regional markets.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
• Strategic thinker comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments.
• Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with senior leaders and external partners.
