Senior Site Reliability Operations Engineer - Finance

About the role

The Site Reliability Operations (SRO) team ensures 24/7 stability of internal IT infrastructure and mission‑critical backend systems for a leading financial services client. This is a swing‑shift position (2 PM‑10:30 PM PST) balancing incident command, technical troubleshooting, project leadership, and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multi‑platform infrastructure health using AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Nagios, and SumoLogic, refining alerts to reduce noise.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues across Linux/UNIX, Windows, virtual servers, and virtual desktops.
• Coordinate, automate, and execute code deployments with Jenkins, GitLab or similar CI/CD tools to achieve zero‑downtime releases.
• Drive medium‑ to large‑scale infrastructure projects such as migrations, cloud upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Maintain SOPs, manage enterprise backup operations (CommVault, Veeam, AWS Backup), and collaborate with developers, vendors, and incident management teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years in an Operations Center (SRO/NOC) or cloud infrastructure environment.
• Hands‑on experience with full‑stack application deployments and both Windows and UNIX/Linux administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to bridge technical teams, executive stakeholders, and external vendors.
