Senior Software Developer III (Remote, Colombia)

About the role

Caseware is seeking a Senior Software Developer III to act as a technical leader within a fully remote team based in Colombia. You will shape architecture, mentor developers, and partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to turn technical decisions into business value.

Key responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that deliver near‑term business value while aligning with the future‑state product vision.
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and hands‑on collaboration.
• Break down large initiatives into parallelizable chunks that deliver incremental value and champion them through the full SDLC.
• Improve core product builds, CI/CD pipelines, and overall software development lifecycle.
• Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response for production systems.
• Mentor other developers, share knowledge of new technologies, and evaluate emerging frameworks and cloud capabilities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, cloud‑native, SaaS/multi‑tenant platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.
• Strong software fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, SOLID) and a track record of advocating for code quality.
• Experience with agentic‑AI development practices and mentoring developers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English at B2 level or higher.
