Senior Software Engineer, RevRec

About the role

Recurly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Revenue Recognition team within its Feature Engineering organization. You will guide technical design, mentor engineers, and help shape engineering culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering continuous learning.
• Design robust, scalable architecture in collaboration with product and engineering leaders.
• Develop full‑stack features using Go, JavaScript/TypeScript and, when needed, Ruby on Rails.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure high code quality, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in Agile environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.

Required skills

• Go (Golang) programming.
• JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Ruby and Ruby on Rails (or willingness to learn).
• Use of AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Gemini.
• Experience designing scalable, high‑performance systems.
