Senior SQL Database Administrator

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (L3 DBA Support Engineer) to lead advanced database administration across its global SQL Server environments. The role involves handling complex incidents, driving automation, and shaping high‑availability and disaster‑recovery strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex database incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and problem management.
• Design, implement and maintain high‑availability (HA) and disaster‑recovery (DR) solutions.
• Optimize SQL Server performance through advanced troubleshooting, monitoring and tuning.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and T‑SQL.
• Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams to define standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineers, conduct capacity planning, audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a DBA supporting Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong problem‑solving, leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English (C1) written and spoken.

Required skills

• Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• PowerShell and T‑SQL scripting.
• SSRS, SSIS.
• Azure SQL, Azure database services, Azure Cosmos DB.
• Windows Server administration.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra.
