Senior UI Artist (Unreal Engine 5)

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior UI Artist to own the visual direction of game user interfaces, from high‑fidelity design through ship‑quality implementation in Unreal Engine 5. You will work closely with designers and engineers to create scalable UI systems across PC, console, and mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Drive UI visual direction from concept to final implementation using UMG, Slate, and widget animations.
• Convert UX wireframes into high‑fidelity mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides.
• Build UI materials and shaders in the Unreal Material Editor to ensure a consistent theme.
• Create menus, HUD elements, iconography, and motion graphics aligned with gameplay.
• Develop material‑driven effects, 2D/animated effects, and basic Blueprint logic for UI.
• Optimize UI assets for performance on PC, console, and mobile, ensuring accessibility and localization readiness.
• Manage UI asset libraries, style guides, and reusable components.

Required profile

• 3+ years professional experience as a UI Artist, preferably in games.
• Demonstrated shipped UI work on PC, console, and mobile.
• Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work with ambiguity.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2 level).

Required skills

• Unreal Engine 5 (UMG, Slate, Material Editor).
• Blueprint visual scripting.
• Figma for UI/UX design.
• UI performance optimization (texture atlasing, shader efficiency).
• Knowledge of Niagara for UI‑driven visual effects (nice to have).
