About the role
The SOC Operator performs a broad range of basic cybersecurity analysis tasks within an assigned organization or functional area. The role involves monitoring, analyzing, investigating, and responding to daily security reports and events.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events generated from the security information management system.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Assess vendor and third‑party cybersecurity reports and documentation.
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and assist with control selection activities.
- Identify anomalous events and security infractions that exploit system vulnerabilities.
- Create and maintain network security documentation.
Required profile
- BA/BS degree with 2‑4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
