Software Engineer - Business Systems

About the role

As a Software Engineer focused on Business Systems, you will design, build, and maintain the backend services that power critical operations such as billing, provisioning, and CRM workflows. You will connect internal platforms with third‑party systems like Salesforce and NetSuite, ensuring data moves accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting core business systems and integrations.
• Build and manage API integrations with internal and external platforms.
• Develop and optimise workflows across CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
• Design reliable, scalable data flows between billing, provisioning, and operational services.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and create thorough technical documentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development using PHP (Laravel preferred), Golang, Java, or Perl.
• Proven experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and strong SQL skills.
• Experience deploying applications in Linux‑based environments.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
