Software Engineer - Java

About the role

We are seeking a driven, design‑mindset Software Engineer to develop and enhance our Rocky Linux‑based cybersecurity platform. The role focuses on Java development using Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA, complemented by scripting in Bash, Python or Go.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services for the Fidelis platform using Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
• Develop RESTful APIs, design database schemas, manage migrations and write efficient SQL for relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and tooling in Bash, Python and/or Go for builds, deployments, diagnostics and test harnesses.
• Operate on Rocky Linux servers, troubleshoot issues across OS, networking, JVM and database layers, and perform daily development in IntelliJ or Eclipse.
• Participate in peer code reviews, knowledge‑sharing sessions and SCRUM meetings within an Agile development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5‑6+ years of professional experience developing multithreaded applications in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills in Java, including concurrency and collections.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and building RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling with relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Comfortable working with Linux (Rocky/CentOS/RHEL), shell scripting and system troubleshooting.
