Software Engineer – Java/Golang (Mid‑Level)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on both legacy and new software projects, helping upgrade, maintain and develop features for our existing system while building cloud‑native micro‑services for the future. The role is based in Colombia and involves collaboration with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, code‑review and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Java or Golang.
• Integrate data storage solutions such as relational databases, key‑value stores and blob stores.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devise solutions, and help maintain code quality and automation.
• Create new microservices and maintain deployment configuration files.
• Operate within a Scrum team, contributing to Agile ceremonies and practices.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn new technologies and drive complex software modernisation.

Required skills

• Golang and/or Java development.
• Unit testing and scalable application design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Continuous integration tools such as CircleCI or GitHub.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka event streaming.
• Observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Humio) and test automation.
