Solutions Engineer - Splunk (Remote)

About the role

Cisco's Solutions Engineering team, working with Splunk, acts as the primary technical partner to its sales organization and enterprise customer accounts. It advises customers on cybersecurity, observability and networking architectures. This role is fully remote and can be performed anywhere in Colombia; candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish.

Key responsibilities

• Partner directly with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, solution design and architectural validation for prospective and existing enterprise accounts.
• Deliver technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions and hands-on product demonstrations that show business outcomes and ROI.
• Build and run proof-of-concept (PoC) evaluations to validate technical feasibility, displace competitors and close deals faster.
• Work with product specialists, channel partners and engineering teams to give field feedback and expand account penetration.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, systems engineering or technical consulting (or a Master's degree plus 3 years / PhD).
• Minimum 3 years translating customer business needs into technical architectures in enterprise IT environments.
• Minimum 2 years building and delivering live demos, PoCs or customer technical evaluations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Fluent English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Experience supporting enterprise networking, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure or observability/data analytics solutions.
• Preferred: Splunk Certified Core Consultant/Admin or equivalent cloud credentials.
• Preferred: experience with channel partners, VARs, technical account planning, expansion campaigns and RFP/RFI proposals.

• For U.S. and Canadian hires, a starting salary range of $170,300 to $226,400, depending on location and qualifications.
