Sourcing Director - Global Strategic Sourcing

About the role

The Sourcing Director leads the end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement function, covering all categories, raw materials, packaging, services and indirect spend in highly regulated environments such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food & beverages. The role drives profitability, sustainability and competitiveness through global sourcing strategy, supplier development and digital transformation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Chemistry or a related field; MBA or postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Procurement, Finance or International Business preferred.
• Preferred certifications: CIPS, ISM, CPSM or Lean Six Sigma.
• Fluent English (C1) and Spanish required; Portuguese as a second language.
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing roles.
• At least 5 years leading regional or global teams in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics or food & beverage industries.

Required skills

• Proven track record in international negotiation, supplier relationship management, cost optimization and risk mitigation.
• Regulatory compliance knowledge (GMP, ISO 9001, HACCP, FDA, INVIMA, COFEPRIS).
• Advanced use of ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa and Oracle.
• Supplier development and ESG compliance initiatives.
• Strategic leadership, advanced negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, financial acumen and strong communication skills.
