Specialist Solution Engineer - Tableau & CRM Analytics (LATAM)

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Specialist Solution Engineer (Level 6) to be the subject matter expert for Tableau and its family of products, including Tableau Cloud, Tableau Server, Tableau Next and CRM Analytics. The role supports customers across LATAM in becoming more data-driven, working alongside Account Executives and account-team Solution Engineers. The position requires willingness and flexibility to travel.

Key responsibilities

• Support the technical sales cycle for Analytics, from discovery and storytelling demos to hands-on workshops
• Listen to business and data needs and demo how Tableau helps customers define metrics and business rules once and reuse them in governed analytics
• Show how analytics interoperability works across Tableau Cloud, Server, Tableau Next and CRM Analytics, and how Tableau Knowledge, Tableau Studio and Tableau Semantics fit the customer's data stack
• Act as an evangelist for Analytics with internal teams
• Partner with Account Executives to understand customer goals and challenges, and build trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders
• Run discovery sessions and workshops with business users to define and build solution prototypes
• Build and deliver customized demos, including semantic models and analytics interoperability
• Contribute technical responses to RFPs/RFIs and share customer feedback with Product and GTM teams
• Help the Solution Engineering team position Analytics within the Salesforce portfolio through webinars, best practices and knowledge sharing
• Manage several customer engagements at once across LATAM, prioritizing with the sales team

Required profile

• Proactive, collaborative professional with presales or technical experience in software/IT or as an end user of analytics tools
• 3+ years in technical pre-sales, consulting or analytics roles, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience
• English and Spanish required
• Ability to present in person and online to diverse audiences

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics or similar BI tools (Power BI, Looker)
• Experience analyzing data, identifying trends and building visualizations
• Familiarity with data modeling, semantic layers and data warehouse concepts; experience building demos or proofs of concept is a plus
• Python and/or JavaScript is a plus
